About Fork in the Alley

Fork in the Alley is South Roanoke's brick-oven pub, serving wood-fired pizza, craft local beer on tap, & live music on a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Twenty years tucked down the alley off Crystal Spring Avenue in a carriage house with the original brick still on the walls. Our 48-hour fermented dough bakes at 800 degrees, our sauces are made from scratch, and people drive across Roanoke for the Hot Peppy pizza and the Pepper Jelly Burger on local Breadcraft brioche. The White House, our private event venue, hosts rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and corporate events. Thursdays are for Thirsty Thursday trivia, and kids eat free. Lunch runs Friday through Sunday from noon. Order online for pickup or delivery. See you down the alley.

Gret food, Great music, Great service. Hot pep pizza and a steak sandwich. Staff came in and checked with me as the parking lot across started towing cars. Woth the stop.

We went Cinco de Mayo and the atmosphere was wonderful. Not overwhelming or anxiety inducing. We had a few alcoholic beverages and they were too yummy if you know what I mean! The food DELICIOUS. Try the margherita pizza because it is chef's kiss wonderful. Also, the bruschetta, don't even hesitate. Get it! Our server was great and attentive. No complaints here!

Love the tucked in atmosphere. We stopped by for lunch & had a great little table outside. The food was very good. I had the Caprese Chicken sandwich with brussels sprouts. The sprouts are out of this world. Nice char!! My sister had the beets & burrata salad. She said it was also very good. Our server Connor was like sunshine. She was very attentive & fun. Thank you Connor for making our experience so memorable.

We went here on a recommendation. This was our last stop on our Roanoke brewery tour. Technically not a brewery, they had a good selection of craft beers and it was close to the hotel. There's seating and a bar of what looks like a residential house. Down the side you have more outdoor seating and a small indoor area with another bar. My understanding is there's another dining area, but I can't verify that. We stayed street side so we could enjoy our cigars. Tyler was at the bar and was friendly and helpful. He recommended the pizza. He said we have a wood fired oven. We ordered the margarita pie. Mid order I went inside to see the open kitchen. Tyler said that's your pie coming out. He brought it outside and we told him it looked great. Originally from NY and Connecticut we're spoiled with NY and New Haven pizza. It had great color and crust. The he first slice had some flop. The second didn't after it cooled down some. The he flavor was fantastic. After the first we got the snap and very little flop. Kayla, who made the pie, came up to ask how it was. I told her the above and then said in Dave Portnoy rating style it was a 7.9. We recommend this place for a chill vibe and
